Description for Ford Falcon 1964

Link to video http://youtu. be/xiYhobJpgOIHere is an extremely solid 1964 Falcon Sprint 2 door hardtop that is ready to be driven and enjoyed. The is a factory Sprint with correct vin and door data plate still in place. Well optioned with 260 V8. automatic transmission. power steering. bucket seats with console. engine dress up package and rocker mouldings. Skylight Blue (original color) with darker blue inset. Blue bucket seat interior. It has the correct 5 bolt 260 V8. This was originally a California car and it has the rare chrome air cleaner with the breather vent on top of the air cleaner that was only used on early cars. The air cleaner alone is very rare and valuable. This is one of the cleanest most rust free Falcons I've every seen. and it's a factory Sprint! Door data plate reads as follows: Body: 63D. nbsp; Color: Y. nbsp;Trim: 82. nbsp; Date: 30C. nbsp; DSO: 71. nbsp; Axle: 4. nbsp;Trans: 3The body on the Falcon is excellent and is very straight with no dents (one very small one behind the front bumper on the right side). dings or signs of rust. The quarter panels. frame rails. rockers. floorpans. trunk. doors etc. are all original with no sign of rust. patch panels or previous repairs. The underside is very clean. it was never undercoated and I wiped a section off to show the original blue paint and primer. This would make it very easy to restore the undercarriage. Even the lower door corners are very clean with no sign of filler. There are no bubbles in the quarters or door corners. A refrigerator magnet even sticks to the lower door corners. lower quarters. etc. The paint looks nice and shines well but does have various chips. touch ups. etc from being driven. I’d call it a 15 footer. it look great from 15 feet but upon close inspection flaws can be found. The larger chips in the paint that have been touched up are in the darker blue between the chrome which would be easy to repaint if you so choose. Body lines are nice and the doors open and shut well. door hinges are tight. Shock towers are nice with not holes cut in them. Grill. rockers and side trim are nice. Bumpers look pretty good but do show some wear. Rear bumper is pushed in a bit on the right side but it is not very noticeable. It retains the original 13” wheels with wire spinner hubcaps. Glass is good except for a few very small dings in the windshield. The interior is in good driver quality condition. The seats were redone and are nice except for some claw marks on the very top of the passenger backrest from a cat. Console is looks nice. Dashpad is in good shape. Carpet is nice with minor fading and stains. Door panels are original and have minor warping and some wear on the front edge of the driver's side. There is damage to the headliner at the left top corner of the rear window. Has correct original 3 spoke steering wheel with Sprint logo. It has some cool old school Sun gauges mounted under the dash that look very period correct and must have been there for a long time. Has an aftermarket radio in installed. The engine was rebuilt in 2014 (have receipts) and has very low miles. It is mostly stock except for an aluminum intake manifold and 4bbl carburetor. Of course since it was rebuilt and has very low miles it runs good with no smoke or noise. It has great oil pressure and should last for many years to come. It also has a nice sounding dual exhaust system connected to factory exhaust manifolds. The factory engine dress up package is present and includes chrome air cleaner. chrome valve covers. chrome oil cap. chrome dipstick and the top of the power steering pump is chrome. There is some pitting on the air cleaner but the rest of the chrome package is in excellent shape. Transmission works well. Power steering works well but has typical play. Lights (even the backup lights). signals. heat. wiper etc all work properly except for the gas gauge. Fuel tank has been flushed and cleaned and sending unit replaced so it needs a gauge or gauge voltage regulator. It drives as you would expect a 1964 Falcon to drive. Tires are old and should be replaced before the car is driven any distance. Overall this is a very well optioned. clean. solid and original Falcon Sprint. It would make a great no guilt weekend driver as is or you could take it to the next level. It is certainly not perfect. however. nothing has been hidden. covered up and you can see exactly what you are getting. Car is sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. It is available for inspection by appointment. I have tried to describe the car as accurately as possible but please understand that this is a 50+ year old car that has not been fully restored. Full payment must be made within 5 days of auction end by cash or wire transfer and vehicle must be picked up within 21 days of auction end unless prior arrangements are made.
