They just don't come around like this anymore. What we have here is a ONE original lady owner. 100% authentic and completely rust free "black plate" California survivor with 43. 49 original miles since new. If you are in the market for one of the most honest and untouched examples of its kind than this 1961 T-bird will exceed all of your expectations and more. so no need to look any further. This is the one you have all been waiting for. She is a unrestored carefully driven beauty finished in "Palm springs rose" a lovely color that is extremely appealing. The engine was removed from the car and fully rebuilt by a well known engine builder. The matching number engine had never been rebuilt or overhauled so after so many years the best thing to do considering the age was to start from scratch. All seals and gaskets along with a valve job and top/bottom end overhaul were completed with long block rebuild. The outcome was a better than new factory original 390 ci. power plant. that is just awesome. Everything on the entre car has been professionally gone through and thousands of dollars with no expense being spared have been completed. The end result is a turn key fully mechanically rebuilt 1961 thunderbird that is ready to be enjoyed for the next 54 years. Cosmetically the car is absolutely stunning and has kept all of it's original appeal and integrity over the years. The car is 100% complete with no missing parts. The paint has a lovely patina and is better looking than a redone/restored example. The body is arrow straight with no rust or repair anywhere whatsoever. All of the chrome is shiny and wonderfully preserved with lots of priceless patina. All emblems. trim and molding are in remarkable condition. Every body line and panel fits like it did when it was built. Everything is solid and tight. The transmission shifts through all the gears like clockwork. The brakes. steering and suspension are all in tip top condition. The cooling system has been completely gone though/overhauled and the car always runs at cool temperatures. She has a rebuilt starter. rebuilt carburetor and all new belts. hoses and accessories. There is nothing mechanically that has not been touched.
