Story to Tell

This journey started 10/12/2008 Moms birthday, more than 11 years ago, an ad in the paper for a fast back mustang for sale. My son and I decided to call after a brief conversation with the son of the original owner we were sure it was a car we wanted to see. We arrived at the farm and was lead to the big barn and back in the far corner covered with hay, dirt and bird droppings My diamond in the rough.

60 mins later she was loaded, paid for and on her way to TN.

This project started as a driver for my then 20 year old son. After a full evaluation it was clear she was going to be a star. This 36 year old stang was going back original except my sweet spot the power plant.

It takes time to disassemble, label, clean, categorize, and grade every part. The famous unibody was cleaned, blasted, inspected and with amazement only a few minor repairs needed.

Susan thank you for taking such good care of your 1972 Graduation present.

The chassis started as a compete reassembly everything new or rebuilt.

The 8" rear end was completely rebuilt and the original 2.79 gear was replaced with a Richmond High Performance 3.90.

The FMX transmission (steel case) Automatic was completely rebuilt with minor shift kit upgrades.

The 302 engine, my master piece where do I start, let's just call it Fun and yes capital FUN 350 HP to the rear tires Fun.

Still all matching numbers car.

The original air cleaner, valve covers, intake, Distributor, are cleaned and stored in a boxed.

Perfectly tuned 2.5" exhaust with X pipe and series 40 Flow master Exhaust installed by the best in East Tn.

I added the Mach 1 Stripes, rear spoiler and grill lights.
