This car lived most of its life in Maryland. with only three owners. other than myself. This ultra rare car went thrugh an extensive complete restoration by longtime Owner #2. Although it was completed in 1986. this car would pass for a much newer restoration. Body panels are excellent and the car is ready to drive and enjoy. Ford produced the Skyliner Hardtop Retractable Convertible from 1957 to 1959. It was Ford's most expensive car and the retractable hardtop was a mechanical achievement ahead of its time. Very few of these cars remain today and fewer are in the condition of this car This Skyliner has an excellent repaint in Colonial White and Aqua. When painted. a new white and Aqua interior was installed in the original pattern. New carped. sill plates. and windlace were installed. The top functions well. its rebuilt. orignal 312 Thunderbird V-8 and factory automatic transmission. this car is very nimble for its size and a blast to drive. Beautifully repainted in the Colonial White over Aqua. All new or refurbished chrome & stainless. New coordinating interior with matching carpet. Excellent dash and door panels. The car is equipped with the original rebuilt 312 cubic inch Thunderbird V-8 engine with rebuilt factory automatic transmission. The body is excellent and and is both accident and rust free! New WIRE WHEELS and COKER WIDE WHITE RADIALS were recently installed. SUMMARY; 1. Excellent accident and rust free body. 2.
