Description for Ford Mustang 1965
I purchased this car 5/2000. At that time it had been wrecked and there was damage to the front right side. I replaced the fender and hood with used Ford parts and all else was replaced with reproduction parts. This car should be considered a daily driver, not a concourse or show car, although it will fit nicely with the weekend car rallys. It has been garage kept the entire time I have own it. In 2000 the odometer read 49,500 and today it reads 53,711. This car left the factory on July 14th, 1964 and was delivered to the DSO (District Sales Office) of Phoenix, Arizona. It is a convertible with the automatic transmission, 289 V8, rally pac, air conditioning, power top and power assist steering. This car is 55 years old, the slave cylinder on the power assist steering leaks, the tires are 19 years old, the driver's seat is showing some wear, it has drum brakes on all four wheels, the rear glass (plastic) is cracked, small dings in paint, A/C needs charging and clock in rally pac does not work. The paint is its original color which is Poppy Seed Red (the car was repainted in 2000), the interior is white on white with black accents, I believe it to have the original floor pans, I do not know of any serious rust issues, the tachometer works, car shifts smoothly, power top works. As a kid and young adult I always wanted to own a classic Mustang, this is one of the first. If you are a lover of Mustangs and want to own a piece of history this is a great car for you. If you want to do a full restoration this is a perfect car to start with, there are only a few original parts you would need to locate. It is believed by August of 1964 there were 28,883 convertible mustangs made and this is one of them!! Hagerty values this car in average condition at $31,300. Vehicle is offered for sale AS IS with no warranty promised or implied. On site inspection is available and encouraged prior to auction ending.https://youtu.be/t1wIhqWJWUI, This link, will take you to video with lots of pictures and demonstrations of the car running.
