Description for Ford Mustang 1966
For sale is a Project 1966 Ford Mustang convertible:
This 1966 mustang convertible has just been painted new with the original paint color: Signal Flare Red. It has new front and rear chrome bumpers, new wood grain steering wheel, new grill, parking lights, tail lights and back up lights, along with other exterior trim items. The engine bay has also been totally repainted and now houses a 1968 re-built 302 with only approximately 1 hour of running time. The engine runs very nicely and is supported by a new radiator, FOMOCO 4 speed transmission with re-built drive shaft, a Weiland intake manifold and Edelbrock carburetor, stainless steel headers, HEI distributor and high torque mini starter. In addition, a new clutch has been installed along with pressure plate and throw out bearing. This 66 has power 4-wheel drum brakes, power steering and a power top frame. All original parts are available to be re-used or modified or replaced for this project.
The project would consist of installing an interior, fabric for convertible top, and either replace or clean/repair the chrome window and windshield trim. Most of it, with some elbow grease, is usable. All the windshield trim needs replacing. Same for the glass with the exception of windshield and passenger door glass.Gauges need to be replaced or again you can salvage them. There are new interior door and window handles and miscellaneous interior hardware that are new. It would be recommended that the brakes and the idler arm be replaced as well. The motor runs great, was only ran for break in, no leaks or overheating issues and a video of it running is available if you are seriously interested.
