West Coast Classics are proud to present a beautifully restored and great daily driving and completely rust free example of this original southern California 'Black License Plate' 1957 Ford Thunderbird in it's very rare 'Coral Sand' factory color paint, 1 of only 270 reportedly built in this rare color, and factory ordered with the hard top only but loaded with factory specifications and desirable options including;Ford-o-matic automatic transmission ($257),Power brakes ($38),Power steering ($69),Engine dress kit,Magic air heater and defroster ($85),Original... Town & Country radio ($100),Electric clock ($15),Full wheel covers,White sidewall tires ($30),Rear fender skirts,Dual horns,Dual exhausts,Removable Fiberglass Hardtop,Safety beltsand it's original 312/245HP 'D' Code V8 engine!Purchased by it's original southern California owner on 4/6/1957 at 'Freeway Motors' of Los Angeles, CA with it's original owners manual, original sales invoice for $4,212.92 and service records and who owned the car for over 20 years until ownership was transferred to only the car's second southern California owner, actually the original owner's sister, who owned the car for over another 20 years until 1998 when sold to only it's third southern California owner. Recently acquired from the car's most recent southern California owner who had restored the car as required over the years with the engine having been completely rebuilt as well as the transmission having been rebuilt. The floor boards, trunk and all the typical rust-prone areas are completely solid and rust-free and the car has no signs of any accidents - obviously a garaged and cherished southern California driver only.The car has a beautiful and very rare original factory color 'Coral Sand' (Color Code Z) repaint, with reportedly only 270 of 1957 Thunderbirds produced were Coral Sand per D. Tulowitzkys C.T.C.I. report on 1957 Thunderbirds. Its original solid 'White' (Trim code XK) color vinyl interior with a bench seat, automatic interior courtesy lighting, rayon loop carpeting, half-circle steering wheel horn ring, winged 'Thunderbird' front end emblem, stainless steel window surround moldings, dual horns, dual exhaust and a removable fiberglass hardtop!The car has a thick file of service records and the car's original 'D' Code 312 V8 engine is extremely strong and powerful and sounds absolutely magnificent. The transmission shifts smoothly though the gears and the power steering and power brakes make the car an absolute pleasure to drive. The car was completely stripped down and repainted including the engine compartment. Four new whitewall radial tires have just been installed.
