Description for Ford Mustang 1965
Lamborghini Paramus is pleased to offer a stunning piece of movie history. This 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback finished in Black/Black is a very special car that any Mustang collector would be proud to own. This car was the documented testbed car for the 1967 Ford Mustang Eleanor for Cinema Vehicle Services who built the original Eleanor Mustangs for the movie: Gone in 60 Seconds starring Nicholas Cage. For the movie, the producers wanted a car that not only looked great... but performed as well. A lot of time went into perfecting this Mustang for the movie cars. This Mustang was documented and built by Terry Buch the previous owner of Total Control Products who supplied the fiberglass kit, steering and suspension components for the original and continuation Eleanors. This car was driven by Nicholas Cage and stunt men at Bondurant's race track in preparation for driving the Eleanor, documented by Bob Bondurant and Mike McGovern. This Mustang is powered by a 302 CI engine with aluminum heads. Powered is delivered through a 5-Speed Tremec and Currie rear end with Detroit Tru-Trac differential and 3.89 gears. The engine runs very well with no smells or smoke. The car shifts through all the gears with no grinding or noises. This Mustang has been looked over by our team of vintage car experts and is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner! Step inside the interior and you will find the very unique Black interior with many custom interior upgrades including a GT350 roll cage. The interior includes racing harnesses, Hurst shifter and Aluminum racing pedals. This car really has it all and still retains original build components and driven less than 2,000 miles since completion. The car has been extremely well kept since the movie. Notable features include: A-Code Mustang with straight firewall and inner fenders with VIN stamp, Highly modified steering, suspension and 4-wheel disc brakes.
