It came with many optional engines and the one offered here has the 400 Ci V8. The engine is mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission and power is sent directly to the rear wheels. The engine fires right up without any issues and all gear changes are solid and smooth. The exterior was repainted... with a beautiful burgundy color in 1997 and is still in extremely good condition. Paired with the burgundy paint is the original white vinyl top that is also in great condition. The exterior is loaded up with chrome featuring chrome trim, door handles, and new chrome bumpers replaced at the time of the repaint. Complementing the exterior is a wonderful burgundy interior that features patterned cloth seats. There are no rips or tears to be seen throughout the interior. To make the drive enjoyable this car has factory air conditioning that is still in working condition, and the heater also still functions. With the windows lowered, you can see the unique pillarless design of the Ford LTD. Driving this car is a pleasure due to the power steering and power brakes.
