Description for Ford Model A 1930
This is a 1930 Ford Model A hot rod Tudor sedan that I built over the last few years. Haven't had time to drive it much so the miles are low since it was completed. The fenders, aprons, hood and body are all metal. Sun visor and hood are louvered. It has a nicely done 4 inch chop that looks just right for this car. The doors could use some adjustment but still work fine as is. The 1968 era Ford 302 has been professionally rebuilt with a mild cam and it has roller rockers as well. Radiator is a copper Walker brand. The headers have been Jet coated for a long lasting finish. Has a Holley carb and a Mallory Unilite distributor and an aluminum water pump. The trans is a rebuilt Ford top loader with a new Hurst shifter. The front axle is a 1932 heavy style with disc brakes. The 4 bar and tie rods are stainless as is the exhaust from the headers back. Has a new Flaming River Vega steering box. The boxed frame is Brookville and has been powder coated as well as the rear end housing and other components. The rear is a 8 inch Ford ( about a 1965 ) with I think 3.90 gears and coil over shocks.Wheels and caps and trim ringsare new repro items. Tires are bigs and littles 15 inch. The bumpers are stainless reproduction. I converted the original gas tank into a dash panel and I installed saddle fuel tanks. The gauges are original Stewart Warner 2 5/8 curved glass. Interior is old school and very nicely done with 1966 Ford Mustang fronts. Windows roll up and down and windshield swings as it should. Has a new original style roof with original restored rain gutters. Body has a complete new wood kit installed. This was painted at home with Hot Rod Flatz blue and looks good to me. This car has a ton of time and money invested and it shows it. This car sounds like a hot rod and goes like one to. I prefer that you come and inspect this car before buying so you know that this is what you are looking for and like. Call my cell for any questions or to arrange for a time to look at this car. If no answer than please leave a message. 201-376-2058. Thanks for looking. No shipping, pick up only here in northeast New Jersey. This has a clear N.J. title in my name. The following is a list of things that need to be noted : 1 - The fuel tank gauge works but does register properly ( possibly a grounding issue ), I did not try to fix this since that when I would run out of gas on one tank I would switch to the other tank and then go refill the empty tank. 2 The rear window has a small crack in it and I put a decal over the crack. 3 The carpeting is very light duty and has cuts and damage but still looks ok for use. 4 There are nicks and some scratches in the paint that have been touched up but are visible. 5 The driver side kick panel has some shoe damage from pushing the clutch down. Reasonable reserve will not be disclosed.
