ford built 1865 429 cobra jet mustangs in 1971. it was the only year this motor was offered. of this total only 613 scj's were built. these motors had 4 bolt mains. and special internal components. they came with holley carbs. pecial dual point distributors. nd were equipped with smog pumps. due to the limited production. these components are hard to replace. when you consider that the 613 scj cars include both automatic and 4spds. it includes ram air and non ram air. and 3. 91 and 4. 11 rear ends you start to see how rare a 4. 11 4sp car is. one of my 4. 11 4sp cars is about to be featured in hemmings muscle machines. the pics of the bottom clearly show this is rust free original car. there are factory "drips" still present on the pans. note the DIZE part numbers still on the front suspension as well as the original ford assembly wire ties. the speedo gear reducer is still present. bought one of those lately? the rear "large" sway bar is correct for 429scj and boss 351 only. the original exhaust heat shield is the best original I've seen. rear 1/4 panel drain plugs are clean with no sign of rust. front sub frames are rust free and no pitting is present anywhere. factory overspray can still be seen in a few areas. the car has a long list of options for a 429scj. the convince group has trunk and under hood lighting. both are present and function. i got this car with a 72 dated title. it was only 6 blks from the original selling dealer. if you are looking for a 429scj they are much harder to find than a boss or shelby. there were thousands of those produced and you have a good selection to pick from at any national car auction. i believe this is the best 429scj available anywhere. call me at 918 645 4543 for questions. no trades. on't ask. no bidders with less than 10 feedback without calling me first. $500 deposit due within 24hrs of auction end. balance by wire transfer within 10 days. if you don't like this car for any reason when you come to pick it up i will gladly refund your deposit.
