Description for Ford Mustang 1970

Here is a real G code Boss 302. Originally Calypso Coral. painted Red many years ago. Options include: close ratio toploader 4spd. rare V code 3. 91 Traction Lock rearend. power steering. power disc brakes. rear deck spoiler and foldown rear seat. The power steering and foldown are not on the Marti report so they must have been added at some point. Currently has 351C 4V engine but retains what appears to be the original RUG AW close ratio toploader and 3. 91 N case 31 spline rearend. I do have a D1ZE std bore Boss 302 shortblock with balancer that is still assembled with crank. rods and pistons and I will make it available to the buyer for an additional $2. 00. This Boss motor was in a running car and could be run as is if you like or rebuilt. It does not have and did not come with a shaker hood. One could be added or you could leave it this way which looks more like the original Trans AM Boss 302 race cars. It retains the original 15x7 steel wheels with rings and caps. Originally sold in Washington State and has spent its life in the Northwest region. The paint is 25+ years old. it still shines and it presentable but there are lots of chips. scratches. touch ups. small bubbles etc. I would call it a 25 footer. It retains its original quarter panels and floorpans. The body is very straight with minimal. if any dents and dings. Frame rails. rockers. torque boxes. trunk floor and shock towers look solid. There is some rust behind the rear wheels. door corners. inner fender aprons where they overlap. front driver’s floor. a little in the front passenger floor and a little in front of the rear wheels. There is also some in the passenger door jamb at the rear lower corner. There are bubbles in the latch area of the door jambs but they look ok from the back side so it is not through. Still has staggered rear shocks. It appears that the front fenders were replaced with standard fenders at some point. Glass is all good. Chrome looks original and has pitting. Original steel 15x7 wheels are in good shape. trim rings have typical dings in them. Tires are 245/60r15 and have good tread but are old and should probably be replaced. The interior black standard and is in decent shape with a little work needed. The seats. carpet and door panels are in nice shape. The headliner has been partially removed due to damage from mice and needs replacement and the dashpad is cracked. It has an aftermarket radio and speakers but it otherwise stock. No speaker holes in the foldown trap door. foldown chrome needs restored. There are speakers installed in the doors and rear interior quarters. The 351C 4V engine is strong with good oil pressure and no smoke or knocks coming from it. It has 4V heads. an aluminum intake with Hooker Super Comp headers and aluminum Ford Motorsport valve covers. It has an Edelbrock carb but it needs to have the carb cleaned out and rebuilt to run better. The close ratio toploader works well through all the gears and it retains the original Hurst shifter with reverse lockout rod (lockout rod works but looks like it may be homemade). Has aftermarket "T" handle. The clutch engagement is smooth and it does not slip. The Traction Lock rearend works as it should. Turn signals. heater. wipers etc work as they should. Power steering works properly as do brakes. It has not been driven regularly in several years so a brake inspection etc is advised. Overall this could be a good driver with a little work while you collect parts for a complete restoration. In fairness to all bidders I will not disclose my reserve. I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. Car is sold as is where is with no warranty expressed or implied. It is available for inspection by appointment. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. I have tried to describe the car as accurately as possible but please understand that this is a 45 year old car that has not been restored. Full payment must be made within 5 days of auction end and vehicle must be picked up within 21 days of auction end unless prior arrangements are made. Vehicle and/or title will not be released until payment has cleared. International buyers are welcome. Bidders with feedback rating of less than 10 must contact me before bidding or I will cancel your bid.
