I am selling my 1968 Mustang GT/CS Convertible. I was told by my local Ford dealership that over 50 YEARS ago when these cars were being built in CALIFORNIA that people special ordered convertible cars for the use of carrying surf boards to the beach (hence the roll bar). My wife is from California and says that's how she saw people carry surf boards, standing up against the roll bar. Anyhow, the dealer said that most all MUSTANGS were already labeled as COUPES and were pulled off the assembly line and sent to an area to be made into convertibles. I have owned over 20 MUSTANGS in my lifetime and I am also a Licensed A&P Aircraft Sheetmetal Specialist for the Air Force. In my opinion, the fit and finish on the car reflect factory workmanship. The VIN number I listed is on the dash as well as the door and the two numbers match. The car has been constantly garaged and never rained on. There are no issues with the black soft top that has a boot cover. It also has nice custom mats front and back. I do not have a Marti Report. I have entered the car in several car shows and she has won numerous trophies. The color is Ferrari Red and is a real head turner. The car is not without some minor issues. The speedometer is a few mph slow and the gas gauge is not reading accurate. We have enjoyed this SPECIAL car and you will too.Please inquire if you have questions.
