For auction is a very special 1992 Mustang GT convertible, 5.0, 5 speed, with 11,575 original miles. I am the second owner of the car and bought it from the original owner 4 years ago from Tennessee. Selling this car is a hard choice and one that I will regret in the future (another story of "one that I should have not sold); however, this will provide the funds for a future acquisition. As you will see from the description, the car is truly special and extremely hard to find a fox body in this condition.
Key Attributes: 5.0, 5 speed, black leather interior, red exterior, original paint (non clear coat car), no accidents all original from factory except for tires and battery which have been replaced. No drilled front bumper, original exhaust (try finding a complete set now for any fox body mustang), original date coded spark plug wires, original battery cables (again, wear items not found on fox body's), ashtray door in excellent condition, original R-12 ac (not converted) that blows ice cold, original radio with cassette in great working order, Z coded (3.08) traction lok rear axle car. Documentation: All original sales documents from Anderson Ford in Kingsport Tennessee to the original owner. Total purchase price of the car was $ 21,605 and the car had 25 miles on the odometer. Includes owners manual with original warranty card under the original owners name. I have a Carfax I can send to you to verify ownership, no accidents, and miles. In addition, there are several receipts (oil changes, battery change, tire change at dealer) from the original owner throughout the year that prove the low mileage. Condition: Car shows and drives like new. The engine compartment is the cleanest engine compartment I have seen in a fox body mustang. Original spark plugs, spark plug wires date coded, battery cables. Nothing has been upgraded, changed on this car. A true time capsule.
Interior and Top: Interior shows like new. Leather is in excellent condition for its age. I condition it once a month. The top is also in excellent condition with no tears or stains. The top goes up and down like new. Car has black original top cover in excellent condition.
Glass: All date coded correct Carlite glass.
Keys: 2 set of original keys and second set still retains original metal ordering tag.
VIN Stickers: All original VIN Stickers in place. Never been in an accident and repainted.
Underside: The car shows extremely well from the underside with all original components. No rust, no oil leaks, no stories. Car was professionally undercoated and done extremely well.
Trunk: Shows like new. Original spare and jack in the car and never used.
Issues: There are 2 areas where there are small chips in the paint (I have pictures) but have decided to leave them untouched to maintain the originality of the car. One is above the molding on the drivers door and the other is on the bottom door of the passenger side. The door molding on both doors is a bit sticky, which is a common issue for these cars. Again, I have pictures, so please request them. The quarter window on the passenger needs needs assistance in going up and down.
