Description for Ford Mustang 1973
The 1973 Ford Mustang is a pretty significant car. It's the last year for the first generation, and a convertible like this would be the last time for a droptop for over a dozen years. So to find one that is so well restored and upgraded (including a powerful V8 and comfy A/C interior) delivers a proper showing of this noteworthy classic. The factory-correct Gold Glow seems like a fitting way to close the book on... the first-generation pony car. It has been given a professional respray later in life, and so there is a nice clearcoat shine that radiates when the sunshine hits this sunshine-friendly droptop. Even the front bumper is painted (a year-correct option.) Plus, the gold is a great backdrop for the black Mach 1-style performance upgrades. That means a blacked-out hood with NACA ducts, deep chin spoiler, and the hockey stick stripe running the full length of the car. It's such a well-coordinated package that even the black convertible top looks great when it's in place. As much as we like the look of this one with the roof up, with the flip of a switch, it powers down to reveal an attractive ginger interior. After all, this is the kind of color-combo that instantly signals the 1970s, and it's even the factory-correct color for the car. But as you dig a little deeper, you start to see the large investment in this convertible. The covers for the front seats look quite correct, but you can see that they are actually modern buckets with plenty of added comfort. There are even cup holders in-between. The radio is actually a retro-sound unit with a digital AM/FM tuner. Plus, the R134a air conditioning is blowing nice and cold, so you can enjoy this convertible long into the summer. And we know you'll love the performance feel of the three-spoke sports steering wheel, full gauge package (w/large speedo and tach), and Hurst shifter. Under the hood, this one has been upgraded with a 351 cubic-inch V8. It looks nice with the ribbed valve covers and long Cobra-style air topper. Plus, there's the performance you'll love with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. The dual exhaust sings the performance soundtrack, and you have complete control over it all with the four-speed manual transmission. Plus, there's power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and wide BF Goodrich T/As on mag-style wheels. It delivers a package that's easy to show off everywhere (hence, the Power Tour decal on the windshield.) The sale comes complete with the dealer invoice, owner's manual, and original AM/FM radio. This restored Mustang convertible delivers an upgraded experience on a significant pony car. So if you're looking to enjoy your classics on the road, don't let this one slip away. Call now!
