Description for Ford Mustang 1966
1966 Ford Mustang Fastback - GT Tribute - Raven Black - 289ci 44bl V8 - 5 Speed Manual - Full Frame Restoration (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this vehicle on a website other than our main website, it's possible that only some of our many photographs of this car are not presented due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the photographs, please go to our main website: Garage Kept Motors.) It's not Highland Green,... but we think Mr.Bullitt would dig it! Being car enthusiasts, we can't help but compare this car to the hero car in the famous 1968 movie. Much like the car in the movie, this car features a stealthy Badgeless grille, 5 spoke 'Bullitt' wheels, a dark color scheme, and a manual transmission. We can't help but think of what this Fastback Mustang can do! Still finished in the original factory color of Black, this classic Mustang Fastback has an aggressive look thanks to a slight forward rake, aftermarket wheels, badgeless grille, and blacked out chrome trim around the tail lights. Since the full restoration, this car has been carefully enjoyed, and always garage kept. The paint is in great condition, chrome bumpers show very well, and fitment of body panels is on point. The body is solid from top to bottom - we can see that the restoration has been done correctly. Open the driver's door and a race-look interior greets you. Draped over the aftermarket, high bolstered seats are Simpson harnesses, a Hurst shifter is close at hand, and the large wood-rimmed steering wheel has a classic race-look. A full line-up of AutoMeter gauges mounted on a very nicely finished dashboard help keep tabs on the engine, while the simple factory Ford radio is mounted right in the middle of the dash. Elsewhere on the inside of the car, we see that door panels, headliner, carpeting, dash pad, and rear seats are all in exceptional condition. Unlike the Bullitt hero car, this car has a 289ci V8 under the hood. However, this car has been upgraded from the original 4-speed, to a 5-speed transmission which is great for cruising. The transmission has a nice notchy feel when going from gear to gear, when shifting quickly there is an abrupt click giving you piece of mind you've done well to get it in gear. Under the car is a rack and pinion front suspension, and custom exhaust featuring cutouts before the rear mufflers - if you want to be extra loud! Whether you're chasing hitmen, running from assassins, or just driving to pick the kids up at school, this awesome '66 Fastback is sure to keep a smile on your face and may even make you feel like a wheelman.
