Car is for sale again...Unfortunatelythe winning bidder had thought he had been out bid and went out last week and bought another hotrod. He felt bad and I was disappointed as well. Just like before this is a no-reserve auction and I will not end early. Highest bidder wins. The car has current license and registration in CA. You can come see the car anytime this week. 1930 Model A Ford 2 Door Sedan. Very nicely built fun hotrod that always attracts people wherever it goes. I did not build this car but I will try to answer any questions and provide as much detail and information possible. I bought the car in 2015 and have had a great time with it but I want to sell it and get a new toy. It is simple car that doesn't have power features, heat or air conditioning. It does drive easy and cruises straight and smooth on the freeway at 75mph. See linked YouTube video of my 15 1/2 year old driving on the freeway...
I will try to be as detailed in the description and show as many photos as needed. I bought this car sight unseen out of Texas and the previous owner did the same for me and when I got the car there were no surprises. I want the same for the next owner. Also I live in the Sacramento area and if you want to see the car in person I would be glad to show it to you.

Body: Car is finished in semi-gloss black paint. It looks nice but has some imperfections. The fenders have some spider webs in the paint that I will try to show in a close up pictures. If you wanted to go to hi-gloss paint job it wouldn't take a lot of work to get the body ready. The body has been chopped 5" and the roof was filled with a ribbed panel, probably a station wagon roof but I'm not sure. It has fiberglass front and rear fenders. The grille shell is 1932 metal aftermarket and it has smooth metal running boards. The doors shut really nicely. The firewall was nicely done with cuts to provide clearance for distributor and finished in gloss white. The glass is all done and all 4 windows roll up and down easily. The body is very straight. I can only find evidence of body filler in two spots and I will try to show pictures of those spots.
Interior: The interior is very nice. It is completely upholstered. Headliner, door panels, seats, carpet. It looks nice and is comfortable. Front seats are out of a Fiero and have been modified to sit as low as possible. The seam in the driver's seat bottom is starting to come apart at the stitch. I am 6' 3" tall and a bigger guy, I do fit and drive the car but it is not the best car for a drivers over 6'. You will fit as far as head room and leg room, the issue is vision. I'll take a picture from inside looking out, if you've driven Model A's you'll understand the issue. It has VDO 6 gauge cluster in an aftermarket dash. It has a tilt out front windshield. The way the dash was mounted the wind noise is loud at freeway speeds. It has Lokar shifter. Hand emergency brake. Hidden AM/FM/CD under the dash but it is a very cheap head unit. Gauges are backlit and there is interior lights for night driving. There is a horn. Dimmer for low/hi beams. Car is well insulated and solid, doors shut great. It has a rear seat with one large seatbelt. The front seats do not fold forward so entering the rear is a challenge. It was fine for the kids but don't expect your wife to want to crawl back there! The battery is mounted behind the passenger seat, in the footwell area of rear passenger. It is sunken into the floor but you can see the top of the box.
Motor: Motor is a small block Chevrolet. I'm not sure what it came out of or what size it is. It runs fine but is not a performance motor. I believe it to be a junkyard V-8 with no cam or internal work done. I was keeping an eye out for a better engine but never did anything. It has lots of aftermarket bolt ons that are nice. It has Sanderson coated headers, chrome Edelbrock intake, Holley 650 cfm endurashine carb with electric choke, powermaster hi-torque starter, cast aluminum finned valve covers, chrome alternator, chrome oil pan. It has a 700R4 overdrive transmission with a torque convertor lock out switch. The trans pan is Derale cooling style. Runs smooth and does not get hot, has an electric fan. Gas tank is saddle tank on the driver"s side and is only 7-8 gallons and is honestly not the most fun to fill... Usually the saddle tanks are on both sides but the previous owner removed the passenger one and I do not have it. The range was never really and issue as I did not drive it that far- just to work, shows, and around town.
Rearend: Ford 8.8" open diff with highway gears. Turns nice and low RPM at freeway speeds. It has coilover shocks and is set up as triangulated 4 link style. Has rear disc brakes.
Front end: Dropped front axle unknown brand. Chrome 4 bar set up. Disc brakes. No shakes, no shimmy, no death wobble.
Overall this is fun car that could fits in with the traditional hotrod and rat rod crowd because it doesn't have any billet accessories or big wheels. It also fits in with the streetrod guys. I liked it because it was basic no frills car that looks great and I didn't have to worry about the kids scratching a high dollar paint job. If you are California buyer the "CHOPD 30" plates will go with the car. If out of state buyer, I will pull the plates. Car is registered and insured.
