Description for Ford F-100 1970
1970 Ford F-100, three speed on the column, 6 cylinder. As far as I know this was a farmer's truck in Florida for like 40 yrs. Was told all original except for new interior, new wheels newrims, new paint, new chrome bumper with chrome brackets, and the bed liner is made of diamond plate. Paint and interior are in excellent condition. Underneath is rusty and dirty but this truck starts every time, drives like a champ, and is just beautiful. I recently one Best In Class for nicest, most original truck.
About the truck: I bought this down on the East Coast ofFlorida like three years ago. I was skeptical about the condition of the truck because it was "a survivor". The owner new the history of the truck with it being well maintained by the Farmer. I need to get it to the West Coast for my painter to do some paint work. The owner said that he guaranteed it would drive like a dream with not problems four hours from East Coast Florida to St. Pete on the West Coast of Florida. I headed out into the night across the Everglades. I can tell you that the only problem I had was the windshield washer fluid was empty and not working. You might think, well that's no big deal. Well I found out that when you are in Florida driving thru the everglades at 11 pm at nite, the bugs are thick and as big as a grapes. I had to stop at every gas station to clean the windshield. But to this day the truck has driven like a dream. i thought about making it a restoration project underneath, but this thing drives better than any of my classic cars! No joke! The only reason I have to sell it is because I have another baby going into daycare which one year of daycarecosts twiceas much as this truck.
