Description for Ford Mustang 1965
If you've been waiting for that right Mustang Coupe to restore look no further. I am selling this car for a very good friend of mine and I know this car as he got it from me. This car is about as original as they get all the way down to the springtime yellow paint that is still mostly original. This cool coupe has been upgraded to a T-5 5spd trans but it will come with its original T-10 4sp that was is working condition when removed. As you'll be able to see in the pics this car needs total restoration however runs and drives pretty good straight down the road. The engine #'s matched all the way down to the carburetor. It has a different carb now but it'll come with the original. This car was going to get restored but my friend has to sacrifice his baby for unforeseen circumstances. The rearend has a poor mans posi (welded gears) but 8" drop outs are cheap if someone wanted it back the way it was or a real posi traction. He did collect quality quarter panels for it if it sell for the right price we will throw them in. The quarters in my opinion are salvageablewith a few little patches. Also the front fenders which will need some patching down low but are otherwise very solid. The floor boards are original but again will need some patching, mainly just the driver forward floor where it turns upward, some very small holes. I will come with its original front bucket seats. The dash has been removed to resemble a Falcon but can easily be put back. I know Mustangs very well and this car does not I repeat NOT need much metal work. I'm just trying to point out the spots so there are no surprises. The doors open and shut well however the driver door did get sprung at some point but its not bad. All the torque boxes and frame rails are great, the cowl is solid. The trunk is solid and looks to have possibly the original fuel tank. Like I said, this will be a great candidate for a restoration not to mention an A code 4 speed car most all original! I do have a video of this car running this same day I've posted it. Please serious buyers only with the means to buy it after all permissions from spouses, uncles, grandmas have been granted, Thank you.
