Description for Ford F-100 1953
This 1953 Ford F-100 has a great vintage look and a great story. So when you find something with this much distinction for such an obtainable price, you know it already has you hooked. When a truck has a cool patina look, you want a great story to go with it, too. That's what makes this so cool. The consignor states this was purchased at an estate auction only a few hours from our dealership. In fact, this is believed to be a Carolina truck all its life! The story goes the same family owned it since new, until 2017, when it was sold at the estate sale. This was used basically as a farm truck (the odometer is even suspected to reflect actual mileage.) So that worn-in look was certainly earned from its years as one family's workhorse. That history is nicely preserved when the new owners gave the original paint a good sanding/smoothing and then applied a clearcoat on top. While the high-gloss preserved patina will get people talking, it also has great detail work, too. You'll love things like the fresh rubber around the glass, full badging, and the way the grille and steelie wheels coordinate.
Inside is more preservation with added flair. You get the classic gauges and steering wheel. Plus, there are some subtle upgrades, like the fresh paint on the dash and the new door panels. Some of the upgrades are more obvious, like the auxiliary gauge trio. Plus, we all know everyone will take note of the alligator texture on the leather seat. But even that bold/cool upgrade is finished in blue to go nicely with the rest of this package.
Under the hood is a 223 cubic-inch straight six motor. This was the backbone for Ford workhorses, and they have invested nicely in making sure this one still knows how to run strong today. It was completely rebuilt, and includes a new fuel pump, oil pump, alternator, water pump, and carburetor. It's supported by nice pieces, too, like the new radiator, new brake lines, and a 12-volt alternator upgrade. There's even a new clutch for the column-shifted three-speed manual transmission.
This is the well-done patina truck with a story to tell. So at a price like this, you know this deal is irresistible. Call now!
