Description for Ford F-100 1953
This 1956 Ford F-100 is an interesting classic. After all, it has the iconic vintage pickup look, right down to the paint. But beneath it is a V8 upgrade. So no matter if you're looking for a cool classic or a little hot rod flair, this has it all. And all for an affordable price. The farm truck license plate on the front of this one really sets a nice tone for this Ford. It has an actual miles title, and so those seven decades feel like they were worn in with trips out to the barn. Even the paint gives off a nice workman survivor vibe. The Glacier Blue is not only factory-correct, but also it's believed to be the original application. And the way the patina is coming through people will assume it's all original without even asking. Plus, the durable black on the bumpers, running boards, and rubber bed mat highlight a ready to work attitude. But there's also something more here than just a well-respected classic pickup. The American Racing Torq Thrust wheels and the taller rear tire size give this a stance that hints at that little bit of hot rod flair we mentioned before.
Inside, the sea of blue continues. It has that stock ready-to-work attitude we love in vintage trucks. The rubber floor cover is ready for muddy work boots; the heater is there for cold days out in the far fields; and that classic three-spoke steering wheel has the hand grooves from the generations of farmers that came before you. In fact, this has such a great vintage attitude, the upgrades are barely notable. For example, the steering column has three inches chopped out of it for better comfort. And seat has been recovered, because not everything can last for over 65 years.
Under the hood is where this one is a little different than your average survivor. It has been upgraded to Chevy small block power. It's not hard to understand a swap like this, because it keeps with the attitude of retaining a strong tool for working. But if this were the tale of a pure farm truck, it also feels a little like the farmer's young son did the transplant. That's because this 283 cubic-inch V8 has been given a full Edelbrock upgrade with ribbed valve covers, a shining air topper, performance intake, and four-barrel carburetor. The column shifted three-speed manual transmission gives you full control of this motor, and the Ford 9-inch rear is stout enough for work or play.
This is the survivor-grade truck with some extra personality. It makes for a terrific affordable package that's ready to run right now. Call today!!!
