Description for Ford Mustang 1972
1972 Ford Mustang . Condition is Used. I was told the car is numbers matching, I am a Mopar guy and not familiar with documenting/authenticating Fords. If its possible to get a number, tell me where and I'll see if I can get a pic of it.Rare car, 1 of 334 351CJ(Q-code) 4 spd Sportsroof Mustangs built for 1972. Clean, solid car, I purchased it about three years ago. It was the final project car for a longtime mustang buff who passed away after completing much of the work. The car had sat for a while and had a tune up, and fluid change as soon as I purchased it. Since owning it I've had a complete new rear center section(Yukon)installed, the 4 spd linkage fixed, a new Edlebrock 650 installed to replace the tired Holley 750 that was on it. Its sitting on new Wheel Vintiques 15x7 Magnum 500 Wheels with new center caps, lug nuts and Cooper Cobra 60s all around. In the last month the starter solenoid was replaced, a new battery tray and clamp purchased from CJ Pony Parts as well as a new Hurst Shifter Handle and a new Rear View mirror. The car is mechanically sound with the only known issue being a slow leak in the power steering box. As you can see from the pics, the interior is very nice(I believe it was restored before I bought the car). The car is solid and presentable at 20 ft but the paint was not done well and should be redone, The body has a nice shine, but the fenders, hood and trunk are oxidizing and are matte(I will try and clay bar/polish the areas that need it this weekend and see how it goes). The car has some parking lot dings and plenty of imperfections. I call it how I see it, the pics with the Magnum 500s are less than a month old, you can judge for yourself. I'm fairly critical but I always I try and present an accurate evaluation of the car.If you have questions, please don't be afraid to ask. If you want to see the car in person, I will try and make that happen. This is a rare combination to be found on a non Mach1, whoever ordered it ticked all the right boxes. This is a no reserve auction with a very fair starting price. The car is going because I've found a car that I cant pass up and I cant have both. The car comes with a clean PA title in my name and a copy of the Marti report. The car is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction if a local buyer purchases it. One other thing...I am in the military and my schedule is up in the air right now, I will try and answer any questions as soon as possible, please be patient. Thanks for looking!
