Truck drives well. Can be seen driving in my video on youtube. My user name is Wickedmrzilla and the video is titled "51 Ford F-1 first drive in 45 years".It will drive itself on and off a shipping truck.will need the radiator repaired. I filled the cooling system and drove it around before it had a chance to leak out, but needs to be fixed before driving more than around the block. I made an effort to assess the truck as thoroughly as possible before selling it, but will not be fixing the radiator before the sale. We do have an excellent radiator repairman here in Denver (they're hard to find and are dropping off the map like flies). If the buyer would like, I can pull the radiator and have it fixed at the buyers expense. That's a detail we can work out after the sale.
I'm willing to send any pics a bidder requests. The structure of this truck is in remarkable condition with only discoloration on the frame, suspension, steering etc...Passengers floor is a bit thin with a couple tiny perforations, but the rest of the cab is immaculate inside and out.Rockers, cab corners, inner nose, grille area are all rust free. The bed will need a wood kit and a headboard (LMC truck has them). Otherwise, rust perforations are confined to the rear areas of the rear fenders, the seams between upper and lower front fenders, and at the hat channel of the running board where they all pack dirt. This is a 100% full disclosure and transparent sale. ALL of my buyers have been happy, hence my 100% seller rating after 18 years.
The title is clean and is in my name as of last month, so getting it registered and insured will be zero hassle for the buyer.Odometer reading shows exempt on the title. The truck was used to haul hay for the previous owner from 1966-1975. It sprung the coolant leak in the radiator and he parked it and started driving his 68 International instead. He just never went back to it.It's a remarkable survivor with one decent repaint in the 60's I believe. Otherwise everything is original on this truck except for the parts I replaced, one wheel, and 2 hubcaps.
Thanks for looking. I hope I answered any questions bidders may have, and am willing to take phone calls for photo requests. You won't be disappointed with this truck. I'd love to keep it (this is my favorite ford body style and grille), but a 48 IH, 68 IH, and 64 Rambler are already eating up my funds. Good Luck, Todd 97O-58I-OO9I
