1931 Ford DeLuxe 2-Door Phaeton - Of the almost 5 millionModel A’s produced between 1928 and 1931, only 2,229 top-of-the-line Deluxephaetons were reportedly built. According to publication on theinternet: “The DeLuxe Phaeton probably came closest to representing all thefine qualities of a custom car. This addition to the Ford passenger carline was distinguished by its low, rakish lines, high sides, low seats, and adecided sport treatment throughout.”

This example was recently purchased from a Maine collectorwho used the car for summer cruising in that state. He recently had theengine rebuilt, and it runs and drives fine. Period accessories includedual side mounts with whitewall tires, radiator stone guard, “flying quail”radiator cap, marble shifter knob, running board step plates, and trunk.Safety upgrades include turn signals and temperature gauge. Thisall-steel Model A is correctly finished in Brewster Green Medium with blackfenders and Apple Green wheels and pinstripe.

You hardly find these phaetons in driver-quality condition.Most are restored prize winners and out of most folks’ budget.
