Highly Original, Low Mileage 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe

New to our Pleasanton showroom is this highly impressive 1966 Ford Mustang 2 Door Coupe with beautiful Sauterne Gold Metallic exterior paint and an amazing parchment vinyl interior with very rare front bench seating. You’ll find a factory correct C-code 289 cid V-8 engine under the hood with a 2bbl carburetor, an automatic transmission, and power steering, all of which is almost 100% factory correct from bumper to bumper. This gorgeous example has a mere 63,115 lifetime miles on the odometer and it makes a really strong impression in person.

Numbers-Matching Head Turner w/ Rare Front Bench Seating

The current owner of this 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe took possession back in 1995 as the 2nd lifetime owner. He informs us that this example was built locally in the San Jose, CA plant and it’s remained local throughout its entire life with excellent documentation available. This virtual time capsule has barely changed at all over the years with excellent original chrome, a beautiful interior and an almost complete factory drivetrain. The exterior paint was resprayed about a decade ago in the factory correct color with an excellent appearance in person. Otherwise, this is one of the most complete survivors we’ve ever seen at this level.

Additionally, this 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe performs excellent with very nice acceleration and handling. The parchment interior with front bench seating is in near perfect condition; like most elements of this muscle car, there are a few minor blemishes to be discovered but nothing that would keep it from being a great choice for local shows and meetups. Most would consider this example a really high end driver and a variety of collectors will simply fall in love with this one in person. It’s an extremely rare find and belongs in a prestigious collection.
