Description for Ford Ranchero 1957
This 1957 Ford Ranchero has small block V8 power, an A/C interior, overdrive transmission, and the distinction of being the first-year Ford introduced this cool car/truck combo. We love the '57 Ranchero because it has the distinction of being the first ever model year, and at the same time, there are unique features exclusive to the inaugural version. The single headlight front end has an almost frenched look that came directly from Ford. Plus, the inward-sloping grille and large/wide chrome bumper all give this one a distinctive face. This example has a black and red two-tone that takes full advantage of the sleek full-length trim. And speaking of the trim, this wave of silver and gold really give a premium look to this car/truck. So it's always nice to see it so complete all these decades later. And these Rancheros really had style, right down to the Thunderbird-inspired taillights. Plus, this one has great details, from the soft tonneau cover to the matching red wheels with bright beauty rings.
Inside, is more vibrant red and black returns on the newer carpeting. Plus, added white gives this 1950s classic as much all-American appeal as a Coca-Cola bottle. There are nice classic elements, like the artful steering wheel and bight classic gauge panel. But as you gaze across this, you'll also see well-integrated upgrades. For example, the retro-style radio is a modern AM/FM digital tuner, and the classic-style air conditioning unit is a modern Vintage Air setup blowing cold with R134a.
Under the hood is a nice blue oval upgrade. The 289 cubic-inch V8 was still years away when the Ranchero was born, but it's hardy and upgraded nature makes it the ideal addition today. It has an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, MSD coil, and an aluminum radiator. It all adds up to an engine that runs strong and makes a sweet sound out of the dual exhaust. That makes for a fine cruising classic. And that's why you also have nice driving upgrades like the power steering, CPP master brake cylinder, and front disc brakes. There's even a four-speed automatic transmission with highway-friendly overdrive.
This is the distinctive classic built to enjoy near or far. Don't let this deal slip away, call today!
