Description for Ford Mustang 1965

Ford Mustang . For sale is this immaculately restored early 64.5 Mustang 260-2v 4 speed car (Code F). The car is located in Colorado Springs Colorado and the restoration was just completed by a local restoration shop, Mustang Paradise. The shop has been operating in the same location for 40 years and has restored hundreds of Mustangs and Shelbys.Originally a California car (DSO 71, Los Angeles), this early and rare Mustang was restored to original condition with the original factory Dynasty Green paint (Code D) and White interior (Code 46). It is painted in PPG 2 stage base coat/clear coat. All sheet metal on the car is original to the car with original quarter panels, hood, trunk lid, doors and fenders. This car is the most rust free car ever restored at Mustang Paradise with only a small rust repair needed to the passenger front floorboard. The repair is indiscernible front the underside. With a Build date of 7 May 1964 (Code 07E) this car is within the first 2 months of production, with production beginning 9 March and an unveil date of 17 April.Top of the line parts were used on the interior to include TMI seat kits and door panels, a Ford tooling padded dash and ACC carpet. An original 6000 RPM Rally Pac, not a reproduction, was added to finish off this perfect interior. The original 260 V8 2 barrel engine (Code F) was rebuilt and runs as strong as a 289. Under the hood it does have some non-original parts to include a dual bowl master cylinder for safety. The car has been converted to an alternator from the generator that would have been original. The intake manifold is an Edelbrock performer RPM with a Holley 600 CFM carburetor and a set of Tri-Y headers as found on the Shelby’s of that era. Backed up by the Borg-Warner T10 4 speed transmission the car runs very strong. All mechanical systems have been gone through to include the original brakes and suspension. The heater box is rebuilt with a new heater core. The radiator is new along with all belts and hoses. The windshield is a new Carlite replacement as the factory would have installed. The wheel covers are original factory early spinner style hubcaps. This car looks as good in person as it does in the pictures.A professional restoration, as this car has received, will cost as much as the asking price of this car. This early Mustang is ready for any car collection and will stand out. Take the kids or grand kids out for ice cream on Sundays or use it as a daily driver. This car is ready to show or drive.
