Description for Ford Model T 1915

Major price drop!
1915 Model T Ton Truck. Extremely rare chain drive. So rare, in fact, that I cannot even find a record of another one that has ever sold. The chain drive T Trucks were modified existing Ford car chassis with a 3' frame extension and an chain drive reduction that gave it more torque.
The history of this truck as I understand it is that this was one of 400 trucks sent to Smith Form-A-Truck in Chicago to be modified into a truck that could carry goods in the early 1900's. The truck you see here is one of those trucks sent by Henry Ford himself. This was the predecessor to the "truck" that Ford manufactured in the early 1920's. The truck looks very original. If you have ever seen one of these it was probably in a private collection. Now it can be in your collection! A piece of automotive history.
The previous owner had this truck completely restored many years ago. They said they spent over 30k going through this truck. I believe that. Other than a little faded varnish on the wood and a couple scratches in the paint this truck is still in excellent condition. There is a lot of attention to detail in this restoration. Obviously the wood has been replaced but it still looks and presents as original. The frame, drive train, chassis, and suspension are all completely rust free and in excellent condition. The drive train has also been overhauled and has a very low amount of run time.
It has an added electric start to make it easier to start and drive. Fun to roll around the neighborhood in.
The truck runs and drives great and I have videos of it driving through my neighborhood upon request. This is a great truck and I don't really want to sell it, but I don't really have a place to keep it either.
Please ask me any questions you have before you bid and I will be happy to answer every single one of them.
Trades welcome!
