Description for Ford Mustang 1967
Roadster or fastback? You can have both! It has an ingenious lift off fastback roof that transforms the car into a roadster in less then 5 minutes. Only 1,390 miles since the complete ground up custom build. Claimed 1,900 hours spent on the restoration.EXTERIOR: Really sharp, restored with the Eleanor theme. The fastback hardtop easily lifts off with 2 people. I think there is a total of 4 bolts, it's easy with 2 people. The stripes continue even on the underside of the top. The car is painted Pepper Grey metallic with black stripes from the front tip to the rear tip. Very cool dual scooped hood with premium racing pins. The front end is completely custom with fiberglass valance, custom grill, halo headlights and Hella fog lamps. There are no handles, locks or trim on either side. It has Cobra emblems and molded in scoops on the 1/4s. Custom tail end with molded in dove tail, flush taillights and Shelby gas cap. The body is excellent. I didn't see any signs of damage or rust. It is straight as an arrow, doors click shut. The clearcoat is polished to a smooth glossy finish. There are a few marks from the hardtop. The window channels are filled in smooth, no windows. Jambs are painted nice, weather-strips replaced. New windshield. 17 inch chrome Eleanor style wheels have wide performance tires.
INTERIOR: $4,000 custom interior is hand made upholstery with matching door panels. A center console extends all the way from the front to the back, 4 bucket seats. New dash pad. Custom instrument panel with digital gauges and the controls are hidden behind a panel in the console. Custom stereo system has kick panel speakers and 6x9s in back, sub woofers and amp in the trunk. I really like the billet shifter and knife handle. Has seat belts front and back.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: 5.0 fuel injected motor with custom aluminum intake and long tube headers. It fires right up and has a snappy response. It is also dressed up with aluminum valve covers and plug wire holders. The brake booster and master is chrome plated. It has serpentine belt system, polished aluminum alternator, Spectre air filter. A big aluminum radiator with a giant electric pusher fan and a polished overflow bottle keeps it cool. Because of the custom suspension the shock towers were removed. It has smooth inner fenders and firewall.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has a remote release underneath the license plate. The trunk compartment has been completely boxed and upholstered. It proudly displays two big subwoofers and an amplifier built into the floor behind a glass panel. The bottom of the trunk lid has custom cut, 1967 mirrored image. The jamb is painted nice, new weather stripping.
UNDERSIDE: Mustang ll front end which includes tubular control arms coil over shocks and rack & pinion steering. It has a full frame for better structural integrity. In back it has leaf springs with lowering blocks and new shocks. The bottom of the motor is clean, has a chrome oil pan, starter looks fresh. T-5 Borg Warner 5-speed trans sends power to a Ford 9 inch posi rear end. The fuel tank has been replaced and has custom fuel pump for the fuel injection system. There is a custom exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and Polished stainless tips. Four wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors at each wheel. Solid metal floors.
This is a pretty exciting car. It gets people talking. I love it as a roadster and in under 5 minutes it's a different car! Its It's actually pretty amazing. In the photo room we were taking the top on and off for pictures and videos and we all like it a lot both ways. I have no idea what to use as the main picture!?
