Description for Ford F-150 1978
This 1978 Ford F-150 Ranger XLT makes a nice first impression with its all-blue presentation. But more than just a great classic, this 4x4 has all the right investments in the suspension, V8 power, utility, and even comfort. It's to make sure it's ready for whatever you're up for.The Midnight Blue Metallic paint has the kind of standout appearance you would expect from the high-end Ranger XLT trim. The chrome front grille upgraded LED halo lights, rear step bumper show off a sophisticated side to this rugged square shouldered design. Plus, the upper-level Ranger XLT package gets a full-length trim package that highlights the straightness of the sheetmetal. And this good-looking Ford is also ready to work. Wide tow mirrors, top running lights, a proper trailer hitch, and liner paint in the bed keeps this F-150 working as hard as you do.
The side steps make it easy to get up into the cab, and there you'll see a well-done interior. The exterior blue returns on the metal of the doors and dash, and now it's joined by a tasteful black. And the newer bench nicely combines the two. There are nice upgrades, like an AM/FM/CD stereo with USB to plug in your phone, tinted windows, sliding rear window, and provisions for R134a air conditioning (will need servicing to blow cold.) The dual-spoke factory wheel gives you good view of the stock gauges, and there's also auxiliary readouts to keep you fully informed about what's going on under the hood.
The engine bay continues the blur theme, because Ford bright block looks quite bold. In fact, we're told this 400 cubic-inch V8 was professionally rebuilt about 12k miles ago. It was upgraded for power with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and headers feeding the dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. This mighty V8 fires up eagerly and produces nice power. That's a good thing, because this 4x4 is ready for action. It has a Rancho lift kit with dual shocks in front and heavy duty coil springs. The rear has upgraded shocks and strong trailing arms. Those Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ tires are true off-road kings. The C6 three-speed transmission is good for both stout use and easy automatic cruising. And the power steering and power brakes w/discs up front make this F-150 easy to enjoy on the road, too.
This is the big blue oval classic that will take you everywhere. Don't miss out, call today!
