Description for Ford F-100 1952
Ford F-, Rare 195, First year with Fords 215 OHV 6 cy, hard to find. This 1952 is the last of the F1 line, and this is a solid ONE family Farm Truck. In storage indoors in New Hampshire and Ct. last 20 years. Many dollars and hours since found to get her road worthy. With the Last Registration from New Hampshire in 1983, (Last time registered) I found a business card that matched the door Art/Business Logo. I wrote the Gentleman a letter (No email back then) and a week later I got a call. This man was the Son (76 yrs old) of the original owner whos name is on Reg. stating D.O.B is 1910. Enjoyed talking with him as he said his father taught him to drive the farm in this truck in 1957. Through some family turmoil, as usually the case the truck got sold off. This truck was bought new in Somerville MA. where they where built at a local ford plant in 1952. This company always bought Fords as Mr. Borg explained his father bought another Ford in 59 and another in 63 as business Grew. There is no question this truck has been used as it was built for, but has solid frame and 97% of its steel, not a rust bucket. So we have the history of this very cool time piece. Here is the work done in last 3 months. Engine tune up, Rebuilt Carb, Rebuilt Generato, replace Regulator, New Battery and hold down with Battery cut off, Oil and filter, Radiator flush, Gen belt, New fuel line, (Original hard line remains) Trans oil, rear Dif Oil, Steering box oil, New Exhaust and muffler, Serviceable tires, wheel bearings, New Brake lines and New wheel Cylinders, New Master Cylinder, New brake and clutch Pedal pads and New Gas Pedal and boot, Factory Jack and base with handle, New GAS Tank, New ground cable, Complete greasing. New Directional Signal switc, Replaced and repaired wiring, front and rear signals work, New Headlights, (Front Signal moved to parking light lens) Lic. Plate light works, brake lights all work. High Beam/Low, All gauges work, wipers (Vacuum) Work. Horn works, Parking Brake works, New Speedometer Cable, Original Deck planks in good condition and treated to fresh coatings of Spar Urethane. Cab heater with blower, Dash mounted Electric Fan, Some Original paint, some spray in and Lots of Patina. Solid and original Cab corner boxes, Bring your magnet and expect a big smile, no rot or BS body work. Just the way the truck was from 70 years ago. No broken glass or cracks, windows crank nicely and window vents swivel freely. What a truck for the farm house, Lake House, Vermont Hay rides with grandchildren ETC. I have enjoyed working on this one and what a great story from the original Farm Family. Merry Christmas
