Description for Ford Model A 1929
Vehicle DetailsFord Model A Roadster with a rumble seat. Real Henry Ford steel. Selling due to health issues. Upgraded to new tires and 1935 wheels and painted them black and installed new chrome Ford hubcaps. New fuel gauge, So-Cal Shift Knob, Scalded Dog intake manifold and upgraded carb and air scoop. Just installed new water pump last week. Converted car to 12 volt for easy starting, and installed a new 12V alternator and a fuel pump. Speedometer and mileage indicator work properly. Interior is in great shape, main cabin and rumble seat, with no rips or tears. Installed new gas gauge with a poly float instead of the original cork float so it will never deteriorate. Speedo works great. Lights all work great. Upgraded the radiator. Speed parts included but not yet installed include modern oil filter kit, water temp gauge, voltage gauge, fully automatic electronic ignition w/new coil, custom exhaust headers, and the holy grail of high compression heads -- a Rocket 428 aluminum speed head from SecretsofSpeed.com. This high compression head is 6.5:1CR and can produce 82HP easily and 110+ HP with a few other upgrades -- quite a bit better than the stock 40 horsepower! This cylinder head is no longer in production as of 10/5/2022, and cost over $1,000 with gaskets and shipping. I will consider lowering the price by that much if you don't want the cylinder head. The louvered hood sides are included. Car starts, runs and drives great for being almost a hundred years old. Antique license plate is NOT included. Such an easy car to work on even if you have little mechanical experience, and a blast to drive. I have built cars in the past for The Race of Gentlemen (search on YouTube) and was planning on racing again but cannot due to health issues. Clean title in hand. Gas tanked cleaned, still in cowl.
