Description for Ford Other 1951

1951 Ford Custom Convertible V8~Auto Trans~Restored
Beautiful Orphan Car Needs A New Home
This is a very nice 1951 Ford Custom Model Convertible. It's the beneficiary from a older restoration about 25 years ago. It came out of the estate of the owner and the current owner (wife) wants it sold. Don't be shy, make an offer. Equipped with its original flathead V8 (runs very well) mated to a rare automatic transmission (shifts very well). The paint is holding up very nicely and overall, the car shows quite well. It has the factory fender skirts (pictured) in the trunk of the car. The paint is the 1951 correct color Chartreuse Green. It has a really nice black soft top new at restoration, still looks new. The top boot is present. The interior is done in white vinyl. I suspect the original interior is underneath the new vinyl. So its your guess as good as mine. The car was sitting for 10 years, due to the passing of the previous owner and the new owner changed fluids, installed a new battery and drove it home. It appears the brakes need adjusting and the car needs to be driven. A new battery was installed and the car starts right up. I see a couple small dings that are most definitely repairable. This was a rust free OKLAHOMA car to start with, which is a great benefit. Never having had rust, makes for an excellent platform and the car remains rust free. Showing 95,000 miles.
Sold mileage exempt. Clear Oklahoma title.Buy It Now $26,990OR BEST OFFERMake an offer with the eBay feature on the listing, or message me through eBay. I have encouraged the owner to price it back of the market, as you can see it is. He wants it gone because he no longer has space (that's what his wife said). This is a real nice car that needs some minor doodling before every day use. Finished in prettyGreen, the paint is good. On the right quarter panel there are two dings one larger than the other. I can have a friend (best ever dentman) remove them if we can work a deal. The paint looks vibrant and deep. The paint over all is holding up very well, minor checking on one panel, but its hard to see.I can't tell if its laquer or enamel. The chrome & brightwork is very good, no pitting or scratches, great quality. Would benefit well from a cleanup, buffing andwaxing. The brakes need cleaning and adjusting. Engine starts and runs great. The transmission hits and shifts well. I think there are some fuses that need replacing. The headlights are intermittant, as are the windshield wipers, the radio does not come on, seems like its probably a fuse on the circuit. The power top motor raised and lowered the top but he's broken a bow (pictured). The top will be put up for shipping. I can help you arrange shipping or happy to meet your truck, with notice. Message me thru eBay and I will get back with you asap. I'm happy to do a walk around with an interested party.Check my feedback and bid with confidence.
