Description for Ford Fairlane 1959

1959 Ford Skyliner. One family owned since new. 55,307 original miles.
My Grandfather bought this Skyliner new in Rock Falls Il. He traded in his 57 Skyliner because he wanted the last year they were made instead of the first year they were made. Its been garaged its entire life but does have some rust from being in Illinois. It was repainted (orig white color) and body work done sometime in the late 80's. It does have some visible bubbles and cracks in lower rocker/wheel well areas where bondo was used. It starts, runs and drives but could use a tune up from not being driven that often. Items that need attention; headliner- material has come unglued from top sections. Fuel gauge doesnt work(hasnt worked in 20yrs), the neutral starter switch doesnt always work, so you have to put the car into neutral for it to start. Small exhaust leak where exhaust pipe flange bolts to bottom on exhaust manifold.

Ive decided to sell because I dont drive the car enough and am finally ready to pass it along to someone else to enjoy. Included in the sale are original ford keys, all records and receipts going back to 1959. pocket size notepad that my grandfather used to record every fill up cost, gallons and date.
