Description for Ford Mustang 1987
I am second owner. Purchased in 1990 with 8400 miles on the clock. Nice, clean. Last year for t-tops. Overdrive went out and rebuilt bulletproof transmission with hardened input shaft and Kevlar bands, by Kannan, at MV Performance in Winder, GA. B&M Hammer Shifter. Then decided to upgrade stock engine to Ford Motorsport crate GT40X. Stall was making stock engine feel like a marshmallow.. lol. All Performance work done by MV Performance. Have dyno sheets in file. Perfect stall converter. 1.3 L Kenne Bell Whipple Charger running approx 6-7 lbs of boost. Needs 93 octane of course, but MSD ignition with retard unit in glove box if needed. Have additional pulley for race gas and once again, dial up the spark in glove box. Less than 2000 miles on new setup. Also has many other upgrades. Ford SVO headers, Walker Dynomax Dual exhaust. Stainless Brushed Tips. LX Style. Nice sound, tasteful tone. No drone. Dynoed at 356 HP and 456 TQ rear wheel on light tune. Ford SVO Cobra 4 wheel disc brakes around. (Best upgrade ever!) Caster camber plates, Tokico shocks, Steeda Progressive rate springs, panhard bar, Sub frame connectors (welded and bolted), cold air intake, braided stainless lines, rebuilt 8.8 rear end @ 3.55 ratio. Steeda Chrome Wheels. Rare. New runner. Well, 2000 miles. Air condition, cruise, Pioneer CD Head Unit, Pioneer EQ, Polk speakers, amp.Cervinis “Stalker Hood” (functional scoops and cowl, Cervinies stalker body skirts and Steeda Whale Tail.Kid ran into it in 2003 in the neighborhood. Probably 20 mph. Hit driver side, crunched quarter panel and battery. All repaired by Howard’s Autobody with new parts from Ford. Can’t tell at all.I am sure I left out a bunch, but if you have any questions, please ask.
