Merry Christmas ✝️
1967 mustang fastback. Chassis is a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 . Raced on dirt . Amazingly every mustang body panel is in fact original except for the front valance . I've installed a new rear valance . I spliced the driver's lower quarte, all metal very nice. The cage extends through the tail panel for the bumper to bolt o, very rugged . Protected the bod, same up front. About 150 pounds of crash protection on the front saved the front fenders. An excellent body. I had to really work the trunk lid but had to keep i, came out nice. I've had this car on my lift about 7 weeks . It's truly been fun. The chassis is shortene, front suspension modification to center stee, NASCAR style. Rear suspension is leaf spring, caged traction bars and air shocks. The rear axle is what made me buy the car. F600 ford two speed. Yes my friends..two speed rear . I have located a prepped two speed with rare 5 lug bolt patter, poor boys ran 8 lug...lol good news is brake drums on a two speed are drilled for both bolt patterns making drums super easy to find.
The rear axle is EXTRA. ( 1400.00 )
Chassis checks out as a 64 galaxy 50, two door non xl . Z code 390 bench seat car built in twin cities MN.
New chrome front bumper and a nice clean original front valance included I bought on eBay..
The chassis and cage are like a rock. Stick welde, not easy to cut or grind and I've been doing alot of that . Lol . Front brakes are big Ford disc, calipers need rebuilt. Rear brake, huge drum, F600. The drums are lightweight and finned for heat control.
Prefer to sell to someone who wants me to keep going on this old mustang.
I'm thinkin, since she's epi, let's go Boss 429 .top loader four spee, two speed rear.
Then the mustang nationals.
Guaranteed people's choice. This car was run with a 427 side oile, top loader four speed and the big two speed rear.
Boss 429 is no proble, parts are readily available .
Price is for someone just taking it
If I'm getting to finish i, price will be reflective of that.
It's a 67 mustang fastback
The patina is stunning
The heritage is cool
buyer gets a notorized bill of sale using chassis vin number
No worries to register and title
Expensive ? Mayb, but she's worth every dime. Next is to put the door skins on doors and set up a pair of bucket seat, front and back glas, fix the front like I did the rear . The car is kinda like a gasser . Really should get a new hood too and I'm thinking Shelby scoops on the sail panel, just because they're awesome.
The driver's position is set back about 12 inchs and floor is level with bottom of frame rails so sitting in the car is low and set back which is killer . The shifter in the car from when raced is amazing. Three levers. It's sickening . Too much to write about this car. My number is on my site.
Arruzza high performance this mustang fastback is an excellent hot ro, rat rod or...something epic. I can easily build a Boss nine for this car . I've built over 600 426 hemi engines and a Boss nine is easy as pie.
Another option is a 427 side oiler with 1956 354 hemi heads. Mickey Thompson did it and it's not anything complicated. The 56 head is far superior to the 392 heads.
