Description for Ford Galaxie 1964
390 engine with Edelbrock AVS2 650 cfmcarb, Blue Thunder aluminum intake, 406 cast iron headers, 8-inch Cherry Bombs.
T10 4-speed transmission rebuilt by AllStandard Transmissions in Campbell, CA in 2022.
15x7 wheels with 225/70/15 tires allaround.
Rear shocks replaced with Monroe 58510shock/strut combo.
Front end rebuild includes tie rods, balljoints, bushings, shocks, but also new power steering control valve, pump, andcylinder, as well as the Offset Shaft Conversion kit. The car is aligned and steers and handlesnicely now.
Brakes rebuilt, but still just drums.
Electrical gone through and fixed.Headlights, brights, blinkers, brakes, driving lights, interior lights, hornall work. The dash stopped lighting theother day, don’t know why or when, but the fuel and temp gauges work. Tachometer works but isn’t wired withlighting. Speedometer does not workbecause the nylon gear was too short or didn’t have the right number of teethwhen I switched from the automatic to 4-speed transmission. I use a GPS speedometer on an old phone thatfits right in front of the speedo, so it doesn’t bother me and is moreaccurate.
