Description for Ford Mustang 1970
This sweet Mustang is being listed with NO RESERVE. NADA average retail prices this at $16. 20. so I feel my starting price is more than fair. If you think I'm asking too much because it's not a fastback or a Mach 1. please move on. If it was one of those. the price would be double. I feel 1970 is the last year of the good looking Mustangs. Since most of them have either a 6 cylinder. or a 302. I think having the factory 351 Cleveland makes this car more valuable. Survivor 1970 Ford Mustang. numbers matching original H code 351 Cleveland V-8. Original interior. Original color with one repaint about 20 years ago. Less than 79. 00 original miles. I bought this August 2010. and have only put about 1700 miles on it. The following work has been done since I bought it:Spark plugs. distributor cap. rotor. belts. Pertronix electronic ignition conversion. front alignment. heater core. coolant flush. coolant recovery system. ertronix Super Coil. new radiator. complete transmission overhaul with shift improvement kit. new torque converter. new wheels. new tires. new starter. new starter solenoid. new battery. new cables. new shocks front & rear. new power steering cylinder ram. idler arm. new 2. 5 inch dual exhaust system with FlowMaster mufflers. new water pump and radiator/heater hoses. To enhance power. I had a new Comp Thumpr Cam. new lifters. valve springs. keepers. valve locks. valve retainers and seals. double roller timing gears and timing chain. New Weiand intake with new Holly 600 cfm four barrel carb. Might be more stuff I have forgotten :)The Mustang had factory AC. which I removed. I still have the compressor. brackets and hoses. It will need a new condenser & dryer. I also still have the original 2V intake. carb. air cleaner housing and steering wheel if you want them. The build tag shows this car has 65B (2 door hardtop with luxury interior. color 2 (light ivy yellow). Trim TG (ivy green vinyl with ivy knit Corinthian vinyl. luxury interior). nbsp;Axle 6 (3. 00 conventional). AC (air conditioning). PB (power disc brakes). IDG (decor group). RM (rocker moldings). and BTRAC (mirrors - color keyed dual racing). FLAWS: there is a crack on either side of the speaker grill on the dash (see pic). and a scrape & tear on the driver seat back (see pic). The repaint is 20 years old. There are some paint blisters on the hood and top of fender. I think it is from poor preparation before the repaint. The car fires right up but is a little cold blooded as the choke isn't working on the carb. This car runs and drives great. It is extremely dependable. I would not hesitate driving it cross country. It looks good. It is comfortable. And with the Flowmaster exhaust and Thumpr cam. it sounds like a muscle car should. Everything works (all lights. heater/defrost. gauges. horn. wipers etc). Even the factory Philco AM radio works. No bids accepted from NEW Ebay accounts or buyers with no feedback. Those bids are subject to being cancelled at my discretion. Also. the car may be listed locally. so I reserve the right to cancel the auction at any time. Please feel free to ask any questions.
