Description for Ford Fairlane 1964
This 1964 Ford Fairlane 500 was fully restored about 12 years ago. and then spent the next 5 years as a trailer queen. at which time it came out of hibernation and has been driven occasionally. on nice days. since then. Still has it's "born with" 260 engine and automatic transmission. which were both rebuilt. and it runs/drives/shifts excellent. including the kick down linkage. over the past several years. an aluminum intake and Edelbrock 600 carb replaced the originals but I believe the engine is otherwise still pretty much stock. Other more recent upgrades to the car include the Vintage Air Mark IV A/C system and aluminum Be Cool radiator. a nice Pioneer stereo/cd player. wood look steering wheel. larger front sway bar. rear air shocks. all new exhaust system (turbo mufflers with just enough rumble). Torque thrust wheels and BFG tires. Chrome and trim are all in very nice condition. as is the single stage paint. there's only a very few small blemishes and chips. and is overall excellent. it still shows very well. I believe this car has always been on the West coast. nbsp; and is solid. body wise. no rust and I don't think there ever was any. I would trust this car to hop in and drive anywhere in the country. it really is that nice. odometer shows 74436 miles. but actual miles are unknown. I doubt if the car has been driven more than a couple thousand miles since it's original restoration. contact me to view and drive the car just about anytime. a $500. 00 non refundable deposit is immediately required of the winning bidder. with the balance due by bank to bank transfer or cash in person. other methods of payment will require bank verification and will delay release of the car considerably. I have a clean and clear Oregon title in my name. shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. but I will assist in making that happen on my end. any questions feel free to ask and I'll get back to you quickly.
