1983 mustang GT with 1986 front bumper cover and fiberglass cowl hood. 6 point cage. frame connectors were nicely done. this car is bare bones minimum. no radio. no carpet. no back seat. no a/c. Crank windows. working door locks. manual steering rack. Lakewood front shocks with new front springs. :56 posi . aluminum support cover. lapper pars. sumped tank. rear mtd elec holley pump. ew aluminum driveshaft. new complete exaust from the headers (full length 1 5/8) to the rear of the car with all new hangers custom h-pipe and flowmaster mufflers. New brake system. new calipers. wheel cylinders. pads/shoes/hdwr & most of the lines. as line lock and adjustable brake bias valve. later style MANUAL disk brake master cyl. Radiator. trans cooler. water pump. all hoses are NEW. New engine and trans mounts. Trans is a 1989 model aod freshened up with a trans go HD kit along with governor spring kit. ew FTI 2400 stall non lockup converter. Trans shifts automatic as it should but shifts extremely hard with anything over 1/2 throttle. Engine is a later model 5. 0 shortblock freshened up. GT40 aluminum heads. MS roller rockers. uide plates. FMS timing set. F303 hyd roller advanced 4. old school twisted torquer intake with a holley 650 dp carb and a ford HEI dist. Drivtrain has about 1000 street miles. havnt been to the track with it yet but it is pretty light and should run somewhere in the 12s. maybe faster with a looser converter. All in all its a solid pretty straight car that actually looks pretty good. ot a rust bucket. garage kept and was a race car for most of its life. It does have some dings chips etc. ypical for this type of car. paint was done about 15 years ago and still shines well. Draglights all around with new 275-60 rear tires and moroso tires up front. Again no creature comforts here. just the bare minimum for street legal. Lights. hi beams. signals. brakelights. wipers. 2 seats and a seat belt (witch is expired). This is a gutted vehicle with a switch panel and an ign key. I also have a spare engine that goes with the car. its unassembled and sitting in my basement collecting dust for some time now. 1980 302 block +030 o-ringed studded mains. ightened nitrided early crank 10/10. KB 10. 5 pistons reconned rods. balancer. All was balanced but never assembled. I have way too many projects clearing out everything thats not being used. Car is registered and antique insured and stored in a garage. As the weather gets nicer ill be taking it out to all the local car shows. Car is also listed locally for sale.
