I bought this from a very good friend in Northern California. He has owned the car since 1976. It is an original San Jose California built car. It has lived all his life in Northern California until recently when I brought it home January 1 2015. The car was built in May of 1962. The gentleman that I purchased it from his not driven since probably 1977. I bought the car thinking it was a 500 sport coupe. I later found out after decoding the car turned out to be a club sedan. There's nothing wrong with the car other than it's a project that needs completely restored it would make someone a great thunderbolt clone project. currently it has a 289 Ford engine 4 barrel intake and a four speed because with the car. The car originally came out with a 221 engine with manual transmission 3 speed on the column. It appears that the previous owner beforehand used it for street or drag racing. Here are some exceptions to the car right now! Rust issues= really there are very little rust issues/ if you see in the pictures on the bottom of right rear fender mud and dirt had collected over the years and did not drain out the holes there is a small area on the lower fender about 6 inches as rust that can easily be repaired other than that the car is virtually rust free. please see all the picturesof the undercarriage I've taken the car. Okay the engine right now is currently locked up we cannot turn it. I would suggest either taking the motor completely out rebuilding it or finding another engine and transmission. if a person wants to . the cast-iron four-speed seen in the pictures below is complete but I would go through it . DAMAGE Left front fender. umper and headlight bezel had been damaged. I have extra parts to replace that see pictures below. The floorboards above the rear end and transmission have been cut out years ago by the former owners brother "yes he's an idiot". He wanted the bell housing off the car and did not remove it out the bottom but removed it out the top through the floorboards! I have most of the pieces with the exception of 2 small that are missing to fix the floorboard see large pictures below. If you see any other pictures you will see extra parts! They go with the car! Fenders . umper . rim and the original trim is missing on the driver side. It is all there/ the only exception is a cross member to transmission . I did find a cross member I have to order it and have it shipped to the new owner . it is also missing and one rear armrest on the right rear . Title is a clear California title that even matches the license plate you see on the car.
