Up for your bid here is a true American Classic; 1938 Ford V8 Pick Up that has spent all of its life in Southern California. The truck is in beautiful condition even the restoration is older. The body is straight and has all original sheetmetal with no rust or collision damage. We checked the body with a magnet they were no bondo surprises. This truck is solid! The paint is very good and shiny. the yellow/brown color combination fits the truck excellent. Interior is clean. all original instruments are in place. All the gauges work. except the speedometer. Most likely the cable is broken or stuck. Even though this rarely seen unmodified and not hot rodded -38 Ford PU looks great. it is not the best thing about it. It drives and operates even better that it looks. Mechanically the original 221 85 hp V8 is in excellent condition. it sounds great. starts right up and does not overheat even in sunny California. No oil smoke either. Transmission and clutch work well. Brakes are even and stop you as they should. Steering is sharp with no play. The truck is truly a pleasure to drive. The 38 has been converted to 12V electrical system. wire wheels. new radio has been added and inside bed has been lined with aluminum paneling. Otherwise it's bone stock.
