1934 FORD ROADSTER STREET ROD History The 1934 Fords were some of the best styled 1930’s cars. It is no wonder that today’s Rod builders seek to recreate these iconic cars modified to their particular tastes. The 1934 Ford Roadster featured in this auction was built from the ground up by a famous Rod Shop in Colorado starting in 1987 with a completion date in early 1989. No expense was spared in the creation of this Beautifully detailed car! There is a complete documented history that includes everything ever done to this car. The current owners purchased it in 1996 with 4029 miles and had it transported to their then home in Maryland. The current mileage is 17. 28. The car was displayed at Rod Shows all over the East Coast claiming many first Place and Best of Show awards! The husband passed in 2000. The widow has kept the car. but now wishes to pass it on to new Loving owners as she rarely uses it. It has been driven only 133 miles in the last 28 months! Two modifications have been made to accommodate the lady. The seat was moved forward and the throttle was blocked to slow acceleration from the Blown Small Block. These mods can be easily reversed. This car is titled as a 1934 Ford. licensed. insured and on the road. The mileage is believed to be correct. but will be exempted on the Indiana title. Specifications Engine: Chevy 350 4 bolt main (400+ h. p. ) with steel crank. balanced and blue printed. 8 – 1 pistons. clevite bearings. 3 angle valve job on corvette aluminum heads. 30 over high energy competition cam. Pro-master coil. Mallory distributor. BDS 6-71 polished blower with dual Edelbrock 750 carbs. 3” Gilmer belt. Electric fan thermostatically controlled to activate at 190 degrees. Hi-performance electric and mechanical fuel pumps. Body: Steel hood with stock steel running boards. stock bumpers and braces. stock stainless headlamps with Halogen kit. stock chrome horns. stock door handles and cowl lights. tinted side wings with custom etching. Stock steel rumble seat lid. Wescott fiberglass body with fenders and working cowl vent. Paint is stock GM Garnet Red metallic with clear coat. Body is finished under and over. Ghost flames and heat lines on fenders. dark to fade graphics on side panels by Performance Auto Crafters. Custom TCI frame. Chrome hidden door hinges. chrome top irons. chrome hinges in rumble seat. Interior: Custom top. door panels. rumble seat with storage. Storage area behind seat. Top grain leather upholstery in interior and rumble seat. wool carpet. Custom mural painted on the interior of the glove box. JVC Dolby AM/FM with cassette player. (needs antenna). and CB radio. (Currently inop. ) No speakers or antenna Chrome spoon throttle and brake pedal. Vintage gauges. Sending unit in gas tank to match gauges. Vintage Air heater. Chrome fire extinguisher mounted on interior firewall. LeCarra steering wheel. Buick Grand Sport steering column. directional signals. ignition. wipers. horn. and light dimmer on column. Suspension: Front: Heidt Mustang II with manual rack and pinion. independent front suspension. polished tubular A-arms. and custom sway bar. Rear: Corvette 3. 08 ratio positraction; polished and chromed hub assembly. Pro Shock polished coil covers front and rear. Transmission: Turbo Hydramatic 400 with mild Gennie shift kit and neutral lockout. Brakes: 4 wheel disc – stock Corvette on rear. front 68-72 Camaro calipers. Granada rotors. Stainless brake lines. clamps. and fittings. Misc. Stainless steel exhaust with custom headers. Chromed driveshaft. Stainless polished gas tank. Griffith aluminum radiator with transmission cooler and custom etching. Neon lights on undercarriage. rumble seat. and engine compartment. Goodyear tires. Budnik Famosa polished wheels. Stainless steel dust covers on wheels. MSD ignition digital 6a. Condition The attention to detail on this car is incredible! The etched glass and radiator tank is really quite beautiful. It has Beautiful GM Garnet Red custom paint with subtle ghost flames and checkered flag artwork down the sides depicted in the photos. The entire undercarriage is either Chromed. billet or powder coated bright silver! There some miniscule paint defects that most people could not find. The radio and CB radio are inop. . due to no antenna or speakers. The top was replaced at some point and now the side curtains that are included do not fit correctly. There is a large box of extras and spares included. There is the stock radiator cap without the Greyhound and other extras. This car has always been in a climate controlled environment. I drove the car yesterday. Everything works with the exception of the radio and the Parking Brake. There is a cruise control switch on the column. but no cruise unit. It runs. drives. handles and stops like new. Since the throttle linkage is blocked from full throttle. I could not do a performance run. but with this removed. I’m sure it is scary fast! Details This is a Beautifully built 1934 Ford Show Car. You can drive this car to Cruise Ins and shows right now. You can get into the Collector car hobby with a turnkey car. I believe that this Roadster can be driven to any destination. The car really deserves enclosed transport! It has been recently serviced and is ready for the road!
