Description for Ford Other 1941
This is a 1941 Ford Business Coupe. It is a short window coupe. It has been in my family since 1975. Up until 2013 it has been at our family home in Baldwin Park. alifornia. It was pretty much untouched until I brought it out to Mississippi Gulf Coast. I pulled the original running gear out (flathead seized) and replaced it with a late 70's Chevy 305/350. It has a Ford 8. 8 rear end with parallel leaf springs and stock front end with Ford spindle brake kit and Posies 3" super slide drop spring. Disc brakes all the way around. Champion aluminium radiator. EZ wiring harness and Coker radials. The body is almost rust free. The paint. some people are paying $$$$ to get this look. It runs. drives. starts and stops. It has turn signals. brake and running lights. It has oil. temperature and voltage gauge. I planned on putting a Dakota gauge cluster but it never happened so it needs speedometer and gas gauge. No headliner. It comes with Chevy saginaw steering box that I had planned to put in. There has been less than 25 miles put on car since all work was completed by local custom car shop. It is titled in Mississippi but I still have California black plates. PLEASE. do not bid if you have no intentions of buying. Thanks for looking. SteveOn Apr-06-15 at 17:04:20 PDT. seller added the following information:I have had several people ask if they could drive car back to Chicago. allas and California. I would say the best way to transport this car is by trailer. Like I stated in original description I have put on less than 25 miles on car since work was completed. My biggest concern would be steering. That is why I purchased the Saginaw steering box. We tried replacing worn parts in original steering box but made little difference. I have avoided altering anything to much with the possibility of returning car to original. Again no gas gauge. no speedometer. no working wipers and headliner. Thanks for you interest. Steve
