AM/FM Radio. CD Player. Cloth Interior. Front Disc Brakes. Satellite Radio. Tilt Wheel. Seatbelts SELLER REMARKS The original T-bucket was ostensibly designed to be maximum performance in a minimal package. and this extremely cool '23 T-bucket takes it to its logical conclusion with modern performance upgrades. Full of race-ready gear yet keeping its traditional T-bucket look. this is one T-bucket that is every bit as fast as it looks. The fiberglass bucket part of "T-bucket" means there's no a lot of weight to haul around. and with the stubby pickup bed on the back it has that traditional look. There's not a lot of surface area to paint. but the off-white color combines with red and blue accents to give it a very patriotic look that would be as at home on the track as on the street. It's finished a lot more carefully than any race car would be. and hasn't seen a lot of use. so all the various painted bits are in excellent shape. Functional elements like the roll bar and tubular bumpers are incorporated into the overall design so they all look like part of the car rather than pieces added on later. There's no point in hiding the patriotic design motif. with stars. eagles. stars-and-bars decals. and other pieces of Americana. making this T-bucket a sure-fire hit at everything from the local cruise night to the Fourth-of-July parade. The interior is focused around a pair of form-fitting Kirkey race buckets. but instead of the hard metal surfaces. you get handsome gray tweed upholstery that makes it comfortable enough to drive anywhere. Diamond-plate floors help with the industrial-chic look and there's a tilt column with Grant GT steering wheel to make it easy to find the right driving position. A complete set of Auto Meter instruments are arrayed across the dashboard and there's a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo under the dash along with Sirius satellite radio. so you know it's built to cruise. Other race-grade parts include the lightweight drilled pedals. the ratcheting shifter. and 5-point race harnesses for both driver and passenger. There's a bit of storage space in the rear cargo bay. which also houses the custom fuel cell. An OHC Ford German designed 2. 0 EAO Sports 4-cylinder engine provides a surprising amount of grunt and reminds you that if you have light weight. you don't need a huge chunk of cast iron V8 to make it fast. It's fitted with a bunch of performance-enhancing upgrades. including a Weiand intake and Holley 4-barrel carburetor. adjustable cam gear. and headers that dump into a straight pipe. Ford Blue paint on the engine looks right and with a finned valve cover. it has a vintage hi-po look. It's backed by a 3-speed automatic and an 8-inch Ford rear end hanging on trailing arms and coil-overs. Up front. the independent front suspension is a very trick setup that uses inboard-mounted coil-overs with bell cranks. rack-and-pinion steering. and a race-style adjustable sway bar. so handling is almost telepathic. Front disc and rear brakes are more than adequate for this flyweight hot rod and it sits on 215/70/15 front and 275/60/1 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials for that classic big-n-little look. Titled as a 2010 model. this is a ton of fun in a traditional-looking package. Give the 4-banger a chance. because high power-to-weight ratios are fun no matter how many cylinders you're using.
