Up for sale is a custom built 1987 Ford F800 semi truck. This truck has the Ford/New Holland 7. 8 inline 6 diesel motor. 240 HP with turbo. and air to air. It has a Road Ranger RT6610 10 speed transmission for 10 forward gears. The rear end has 4. 56 gears allowing the truck to pull good with top speed ~75 MPH at 2900 RPM's + or -. The truck was ordered in 1987 as a cab Chassis; then a company built the rest of the truck. It has an air ride driver and passenger seats. a 60" stand up sleeper. and AC / heat. There are 2 overhead windows in front of the sleeper that allows light in when needed and covers for them when not. There is a place for a single mattress. small closets and drawers in the sleeper. The sleeper floor needs work. The truck has a 209" wheelbase for a nice ride with 2 air bags at the rear of the truck. It has springs on the axles but the bags hold up the back of the springs to give it a nice ride for a truck this size. There are twin 50 gallon fuel tanks with steps to get into the truck plus a 100+ gallon tank under the bed that is not hooked up. My plan was to fix it where I could pump my Rv tanks into it then drive to the dump station. A custom bed was mounted on the truck and set up at that time to pull a gooseneck trailer. It has a factory headache rack behind the sleeper with backup. brake. and tail lights. There are lots of marker lights along the side of the truck and lights on the mirrors. This truck has a flip hood the same as the big semi trucks with a nice chrome front bumper in great shape. It has stainless steel trim along the top and bottom sides of the truck. The truck has been sitting for a while; we were going to rebuild it to pull our RV. but found a newer truck. It needs some TLC and will be a head turner to pull your horse trailer. 5th Wheel or hot shot trailer. The 7. 8 inline 6 diesel motor is a reman motor and I was told less then 20. 00 miles on it. I put new idler pulleys and belts on it as the ones on it were not factory. This motor has the turbo on the drivers side and the fuel pump on the passenger side. It's the same motor in Ford/ New Holland tractors and combines of that era. making parts easy to get at the New Holland tractor places. My local Napa has the parts books and could get anything I needed. I have shop manual for it and some other items that allow you to work on any part of the truck that goes with it. The tires and wheels are 24. 5 Alcoa's with steel inside rims. The back tires are recaps . teers need replacing. has life left to look at them. but by the date on them I would replace them. They have no dry cracks checking on the side walls. The truck needs:Sleeper floor needs workNoted both left side wheel seals are leaking after sitting for a few months. Paint will buff out. I buffed out most of the truck 1. 5 years ago but it's faded again; I would paint it. I picked up new door hinge pins but did not get them changed out. I have it titled as a RV thus Tags same as a pickup. No CDLS needed when pulling a Camper for private use. Anyone with Class C drivers licence can drive it legal this way. If you were to use it for commercial use. It would have to be tagged Commercial then. This truck is being offered to the highest bigger that goes above our low reserve price.
