UN-restored/Original 1957 Thunderbird A piece of Arizona History. This 1957 Thunderbird was formally owned by Arizona Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame recipient Floyd Ramsey. Mr Ramsey's music studio in Phoenix Arizona cut the Million selling "Rebel Rouser. the "twang heard around the world" for Duane Eddy. He went on to make records for names such as Al Casey. Equipped with big motors. lots of standard features. plush interiors and comfortable suspensions. the Thunderbird was in a class all its own. For many. it was the quintessential road trip car for two. As with most automakers in the 50s. the car was drastically updated every year. with new sheet metal and new options. The best yet debuted for ’57. with porthole hardtops and the biggest fins yet! Sales rose to a three year high of 21. 80 and they still remain highly collectible to this day!This 1957 Thunderbird has been continuously owned by an Arizona Ramsey family member since the 60's. The current AZ title still reflects the Ramsey name. This is an all original not a restoration car with only 60. 00 documented miles. The car does have an older repaint that was done in the original Colonial white and black top colors. The paint is still very shiny but has a few chips that have been touched up. The interior is also black and white with no rips or tears in the upholstery. The car is very complete and clean with fender skirts and a trunk of misc parts. . It appears that the only item not original is the Holley carburetor that has been swapped out for a more efficient Edelbrock carb. The wide white wall tires have less than 1000 miles on them. This car has A/C which blows but appears to need freon. It has the original. unmolested 312ci engine. power brakes. AT. Town and Country radio and Power steering. The factory antenna has been removed for the car cover The car runs. drives. and brakes well. It has always been stored in a dry garage. With a little TLC this car could be a $40. 00 show winner or the envy of any garage. It is listed with a very low reserve to someone looking or a first class Bird.
