Up for sale is this classic Ford Ranger F100 pickup truck. It is a real head turner and could be easily fully restored to its original condition. It has been single family owned. The truck both looks and runs great. It originally belonged to my father in-law who special ordered it from the factory. All services were performed at a dealership and complete records are on hand. Original owner’s manual in glove box. I am putting this truck up for sale because I don’t have need for a full size truck. I rarely drove it. and I want my garage back. I am not trying to pass this off as being in perfect condition. It was used as a truck. but not very often. I will attempt to fully disclose all information about it. Please read on and if you have further questions. feel free to contact me. The engine is a 302cu. in. 5L V8 that purrs and has no leaks. The 3spd. Automatic (on the column) transmission shifts smooth. and it has factory AC. I have never had any breakdowns in this truck. It has been very reliable and is easy to work on and get parts for. The belts and hoses are in good shape. Since I have owned the truck. I have done the oil changes and lube every 3. 00 miles and replaced parts as needed. The weather-strip around the door frame of the cab on both the driver and passenger sides. finger cups in armrests. power steering hose. and a clip on the tailgate latch were replaced on April 19th. The original lacquer paint is in good shape considering the truck is 37 years old. A few scratches around body. most of which are in bed area (it used to have a camper shell). The paint is thin on the top with flaking near glass (this was a factory issue). Also. it’s a little thin on the hood. There is some rust showing in the bed near the cab. The rest of the paint still has that wonderful “deep” look that only lacquer can provide. (please see photos) Also to be included is removable rubber bed liner. This vehicle has never been hit or in an accident of any kind. The body is straight with only a handful of thumbprint sized dings. All chrome is present (three small pieces with issues) and the rubber around exterior is in good shape. The tires are like new. are mounted on factory rims. and have the original hub caps. There is a full size spare and I am including two spare rims and a U-Haul tow package rated at 5. 00 lbs. Has good towing power. The stock tow-bumper is rated to 2. 00 lbs. (please see photos) Brakes pads at 50%+. The interior is original/stock right down to the A. M. radio. The paint is in great shape. The original floor mat is in good shape with only one small wear hole by the gas pedal and some little cracks elsewhere. The armrests. instrument panel and glove box areas are near perfect. The dash board has two thin cracks. Door panels are in fair/good shape. The upholstery on the bench seat needs repair on the driver’s side only. Passenger side and backrest are without flaw. The driver’s side window is stuck in the up position. Passenger side and wind wings are fine. (see photos) Window seals should be replaced. I put a planned non-op on it in June 2013. changed the oil (71. 60 mi). washed/waxed it. and garaged it. Therefore. it is not registered. California registration fee is $101. No late fees attached to its renewal. I have driven it around the block every few weeks. kept fresh gas in the tank. and the battery charged. U-Haul tow package. snow chains. locking gas cap. I have located a Ford restoration parts company where you can get factory spec. parts at a good price.
