Auto restoration shop offers this 1979 Ford F250 4x4 pickup on a no reserve. bid to buy auction. I’m also a licensed vintage auto appraiser. whenever I find good old 4x4’s in my travels. I buy them up. and offer them for sale. I’ve bought and sold a dozen or so 73-79 Ford 4x4’s on eBay. most have gone to flippers located in the Eastern US. I found this truck in the high desert of Eastern Oregon in a rural farm town. It was stored nicely alongside some farm equipment. after some back and forth the owner’s let me buy it. They told me the truck has been in their family since new. always kept in Oregon. These trucks are going crazy up in value. if you want a restored unit. I have a mint 1977 High Boy that will be completed and for sale in a couple weeks. This 79 Ford is a good honest old truck. is a factory 4x4 easily identified by decoding the VIN. Restore this truck. or enjoy as-is. I was also told 90. 47 miles are original. all trucks of this vintage are noted mileage exempt on title in OR/WA so there is no way to verify mileage on any old car/truck here. I’ve driven this truck a total of 50 miles. did not notice anything wrong with it. but that is the extent of my known reliability. This truck was mature owned. not all hacked up by a teenager as often seen. Excellent oil pressure and compression. Lifters and valve train sound great. 4 speed manual transmission shift well. clutch is good. 4x4 works great. power steering works great. brakes work great. Original Dana 44 front axle with disc power brakes. original Dana 60 rear axle. Overload springs on rear. BODY The panels all look original to me. no signs of any wrecks. frame looks excellent. Very minimal surface rust. only small spot of rot found above rear tire well passenger side. close-up on link. check out all the pics on the link. will show condition well. Factory height. no lift kit. tow package. glass is good. seat needs recovered with other cosmetic items. The VIN tag on the door. cab sticker and title all have matching VIN #. I had a tech at my shop spend a couple days going over this truck. he made necessary adjustments and gave this truck a clean bill of health. Ready to pass on to the final owner to complete to his/her liking. I have a clean clear Oregon state title and bill of sale in hand.
