1938 Ford Custom Pickup NO RESERVE AUCTION-titled as 1938 Ford in Arizona-Strong. stock 302 V8-2 barrel with a C4 automatic transmission. No leaks anywhere. Transmission shifts perfectly. Nice throttle response with kickdown. Driveline originally out of 1980's Mustang. -Dual exhaust with Cherry Bomb glasspacks and chrome tips. Sounds great! -All gauges work perfectly to include blinkers/flashers and indicators. Tachometer built in the dash. -Frame and Chassis are from a 1987 Ford Ranger pickup. Truck rides. steers. handles. and brakes like a Ford Ranger. Has tilt wheel which makes getting in and out easy. -All work was professionally done by a custom shop and it shows. -New Atomic Orange metallic paint on cab and hood. Rest of truck is painted Satin Black. There is a clear coat. Very sharp. No rust and very little body work was necessary prior to paint. Paint job was by local Phoenix custom shop. -Professional two-color pinstriping was hand painted by a local Phoenix artist-16 gallon gas tank under truck bed. Has working gas gauge-Power brakes with disc front and drum rear-Has functional parking brake. Hand operated style under the dash. -Power steering with tilt wheel and working horn. -All new custom interior to include bench seat and door panels upholstered in cream and black. New headliner. kick panels. and carpeting. Console with open and closed storage with 12 volt plug. Upholstery work was done by local Phoenix restoration shop. -Three-point shoulder seat belts with lap belt in the middle. -Truck cab locks with key -Premium Sound AM/FM cassette stereo with kick panel speakers. External antennae is located between cab and bed. -Working electric windshield wipers-LED front turn signals with Blue Dot rear tail lights-Electric cooling fan in front of radiator -Working heater with hi/lo speeds and defroster vents -Good glass with new side tinted windows. Windows roll up and down and seal perfectly. -Very nice staggered chrome wheels (shown in one picture). 15" rear and 14" front. Moon Disc stainless wheel covers are included with sale for the period look. 235/75-15 tires in rear and 205/75-14 tires in front. -Truck bed has sprayed-in bed liner. No rust underneath. -Battery is located in an antique tool box bolted into the truck bed. Tool box is locked with a very cool old lock with keys. -Has vintage Goddess of Speed hood ornament along with the original V8 in the grill and Ford 85 badges. The "85" referred to the upgraded flathead V8 offered in 1938. It stands for 85 horsepower. The standard V8 was only 60hp. -Hood is locked with release inside the cab. This pickup would make the perfect shop truck for a business since it has newer truck drivability with the vintage look. Put your logo on the doors. Everything works perfectly and is very fun to drive. I'm 6'3" and 225 lbs and I fit in the cab. There are no known defects and needs nothing to drive anywhere.
